Description
炭素・窒素・酸素・水素など生物を構成する元素には、質量数が僅かに異なる同位体が存在します。本装置は、この同位体の比(例えば13C/12C)を正確に測定します。この同位体の比から、試料中のこれら元素の由来やこれまで経てきた物理化学的反応の履歴を知ることができます。
前処理装置として燃焼型元素分析計と熱分解型元素分析計を備え、試料中の炭素・窒素・酸素・水素の同位体比を1試料約10分程度で自動測定します。炭素・窒素同位体比、酸素同位体比、水素同位体比の測定精度はそれぞれ0.2‰、0.4‰、3.0‰です。
