Abstract
We reported a case of giant esophageal leiomyoma with no symptom. On CT images, a well-demarcated homogeneous tumor surrounding the gas-filled lower esophageal lumen with slight enhancement was showed. The tumor was hypointense on T2-weighted MR images and was slightly enhanced. Laparotomy was performed and the tumor was enucleated. The histopathological diagnosis was esophageal leiomyoma. When a homogeneous tumor surrounding the esophageal lumen with slight enhancement is detected on CT examination, the radiologist should suggest a possibility of esophageal leiomyoma.
