Abstract

Mesenteric panniculitis is rare inflammatory process of the mesenteric fat with unknown etiology. We encountered a case of mesenteric panniculitis in a 53-year-old man with the upper abdominal and back pain, in which CT and small-bowel radiography were performed. Recognition of CT features is helpful in the diagnosis and avoid unnecessary extensive operation. This paper presents a case report and the CT characteristics of this disorder.
