Abstract
Odontogenic keratocysts tend to recur after surgery. Voorsmit first used Carnoy's solution to prevent the recurrence of keratocysts. A case of odontogenic keratocyst that was treated with Carnoy's solution is reported. The patient was a 28-year-old female who had a swelling at the left mandibular angle. Radiographic examination showed a multilocular cyst extending from the left mandibular angle to the ascending ramus. Carnoy's solution was applied for a minute to the wound cavity after extirpation of the keratocyst. There has been no signs of recurrence as of 12 months after the operation.
