Abstract

Performing urethrovesical anastomosis following radical prostatectomy or enterocystoplasty may, under some anatomical conditions, be difficult. We describe the use of a new suturing device for deep surgical operations (Maniceps®) to facilitate urethrovesical anastomosis as well as deep dorsal vein complex ligation. This device is thought to be effective especially for ligating the distal deep dorsal vein complex, thus making urethrovesical anastomosis technically easier and more precise, whilst also reducing the operating time.
