A novel synthesis of polysubstituted chromenes from various salicylaldehydes and alkynes under mild conditions

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A novel synthesis of poly substituted chromenes from various salicylaldehydes and alkynes not having electron withdrawing substituents under mild conditions has been developed. The procedure is applicable for easily available various substituted salicylaldehydes and alkynylsilanes. The present reaction provides versatile access to functionalized 2H-chromenes that would be a useful tool for the synthesis of biologically and photochemically active molecules.
