Abstract
A 42-year-old male developed right abducens nerve palsy. He had been under treatment with systemic interferon- α for chronic hepatitis C since 17 days before. The abducens palsy rapidly improved after discontinuation of interferon. Diplopia disappeared one month after discontinuation. Neurological examinations including magnetic resonance imaging failed to identify the cause of abducens palsy. This case illustrates that oculomotor narve palsy is a liability in patients under treatment with systemic interferon.
