Abstract

We quantitatively investigated the coordination ability of ATCUN peptides possessing various amino acid residues on the N-terminal side of the third histidine, toward Cu2+. We discovered that the stability of the Cu2+ATCUN complex was governed by the acidity of the N-terminal amino nitrogen in the peptides.
