Abstract

The cDNA clones encoding rab type (INR134 and ELR19) and rac type (ELR26) small GTP-binding proteins were isolated from Ascochyta rabiei-inoculated chickpea leaves and the elicitor-treated cell cultures. Rac type ELR26 showed enhanced expression in inoculated leaves indicating correlation with the defense response. Copyright (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
