N2 - We report the sequence of a 1.2-kb human tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) promoter region, which was cloned using PCR. The sequence has several variations from two previous reports and exhibits many potential DNA-binding sites specific to mammalian gene regulatory proteins inducible by lipopolysaccharides.
