Condensed phase property of methanol in the mesoporous silica

Adsorbed state of methanol condensed in MCM-41 was studied by analyzing the dynamic properties using quasielastic neutron scattering. Dynamic properties of methanol above monolayer range were markedly suppressed loosing translational motions and overall rotations.
