Abstract

A diamond-anvil high pressure device with metal gasket was constructed for studies on physical properties of crystals under high pressure by X-ray diffraction and optical methods. The device was utilized in investigations of the structure change of V//2O//5 and phase transition of H//2O under hydrostatic pressure.
