Abstract
An ultraviolet tunable picosecond pulse with a transform-limited bandwidth was generated using a distributed-feedback dye laser (DFDL). The DFDL was pumped by the fourth-harmonic emission of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. This transform-limited picosecond pulse was generated by means of two right-angle prisms in the pumping geometry with continuously tunable laser wavelength.
