Abstract
A forty-three-year-old woman fell from a breakwater and suffered a blow to her perineal region: Subsequently, she experienced pain both during urination and after urination, and so she consulted a gynecological clinic. At the clinic vaginal ultrasonography was carried out and a cystic structure was revealed between the anterior vaginal wall and the urethra. Urethral diverticulum was suspected, and so the patient was admitted to our hospital. By means of voiding urethrocystography, we were able to confirm the diagnosis of urethral diverticulum. We therefore carried out transvaginal diverticulectomy. After the operation, urination reverted to its previous normal state.
