Abstract

A dynamic process planning system under a competitive environment for the machining operations on a pallet in an FMS is proposed. This system consists of four sub-systems, and is developed as a hierarchical system, with a strategic decision under the minimum elapsed time criterion. Finally, an actual system architecture of the proposed dynamic process planning model is shown.
