Abstract
A 10-year-old boy complained of fever and frequent miction pain. CT scan revealed right hydronephrosis and a retrovesical mass. Based on the histological diagnosis of a specimen obtained by transrectal needle biopsy, the mass was determined to be an inflammatory pseudotumor. Steroid therapy was selected, resulting in the complete disappearance of the mass. Although surgery is the preferred treatment, steroid therapy should be considered in cases with this rare condition.
