Abstract

Bilayer hetero-junction solar cells based on dinaphtho[2,3-b:20,30-f ]thieno[3,2-b]thiophene (DNTT) as the donor and C60 as the acceptor were fabricated and evaluated. Although the bilayer thin film is almost transparent above 550nm in the absorption spectra, relatively good solar cell performances [Jsc = 3:96 (± 0.07)mAcm-2, Voc = 0:66 (± 0.01)V, FF = 0:64 (± 0.03), and η = 1:70 (± 0.08) %] were achieved, indicating that efficient photocurrent generation at the DNTT/C 60 interface takes place.
