Abstract

Some triploid LLO lilies were crossed with diploid Asiatic hybrids. Two out of five LLO lilies produced progenies. GISH analysis showed that the progenies had L, O and A chromosomes. The numbers of L and A chromosomes were 12 with some exceptions, but the number of O chromosomes varied from 1 to 10 depending on the progenies. Flowers of the progenies showed characteristics derived from both LLO and AA hybrids. Present results demonstrate triple crossing of the L, O and A genomes is possible when LLO hybrids are crossed with AA hybrids.
