Abstract
Detailed measurements of pressure and scouring depth were performed to improve understanding of the influence of varied phenomena on the riverbed around the spur dike. Two sets of hydraulic conditions, 20 pressure-measuring points and scouring recorded during the surge combined together gave the image of how the liquefaction occurs around the structure. The liquefaction was found as a facilitating process during the scouring action.
