Abstract

New 3D grid generator based on the Delaunay triangulation is proposed, and its efficiency is examined through a number of test problems. The generation works firstly to generate the surface of 3D body, secondly to divide the domain defined by the surface into tetrahedra, and finally to improve the geometry of generated elements. Numerical tests clarify that the method is effective as a mesh generator for arbitrary 3D body.
