Abstract

The helicity dependence of the γp → pπ0 reaction in the photon energy range from 550 to 790 MeV was discussed. The experiment included a 4π- detector system, a circularly polarized tagged photon beam and a longitudinally polarized frozen spin target. The analysis showed that the obtained data were predominantly sensitive to the D13(1520) resonance and were used to determine its helicity amplitudes.
