Abstract

We experienced a case of nontraumatic retroperitoneal hematoma. A 30-year-old female suffered from sudden abdominal pain. Hematoma was located over the upper pole of right kidney. We removed the hematoma, but the bleeding source was not identified not only by preoperative angiography but also by operative findings. Idiopathic retroperitoneal hematoma is very rare. Only 11 cases were reported previously in Japan.
