    Abstract

Financial problems in national university hospitals in these ten years caused the difficulty of purchase of new imaging machines, such as PET/CT scanner, multi-raw-detector CT scanner, or MR imaging scanner. We established a new diagnostic imaging center, which equipped modern imaging machines, outside of the university hospital in 2006. It was an independent clinic and adopted a rental system which is financially supported by a special purpose company. Imaging information of patients was electrically shared between the diagnostic imaging center and the university hospital by using the Okayama prefectural information highway.
