N2 - The impedance of the interface between Pt metal and sodium borate melts containing Fe2O3, CuO or Cr2O3 as solutes was measured. The O2/O2- redox of the solvent melts was found to be irreversible. The contribution of the peripheral portion, where gas-metal-melt coexist, was evaluated. The effect of a direct potential on the impedance was measured, from which the redox reactions of the solute oxides were found to be reversible.
