N2 - Several modifications of the Yoshida-Uemori model (hereafter Y-U model) are proposed so that it can be used with any types of anisotropic yield functions. For that, appropriate expressions of yield functions, and the definition of the effective plastic strain rates based on the work- conjugate concept, are necessary, otherwise Y-U parameters Identified from a uniaxial cyclic stress-strain curve will become different depending on a chosen yield function. It was ascertained that in the modified Y-U model, the same set of material parameters can be used for von Mises, Hill's (1948), and Hill's (1990) yield functions.
