Abstract
Infrared spectra were recorded and analyzed for weakly bound N2O-hydrogen complexes, including all the experimentally accessible forms of molecular hydrogen: paraH2, orthoH2, orthoD2, paraD2, and HD. The observed spectra demonstrated that the jH=1 forms (N2O-orthoH2 and -paraD2) are significantly more strongly bound than their jH=0 counterparts. The spectra were analyzed using a conventional asymmetric rotor Hamiltonian with quadratic centrifugal distortion terms.
