Abstract
Carbene ligands bearing a pyridyl group and an ethylenedioxyl moiety were developed, and utilized as efficient ligands for the nickel-catalyzed KumadaTamaoCorriu coupling. A wide variety of aryl chlorides could be used for the cross-coupling reaction with aryl Grignard reagents to afford the corresponding products in high yields in short time.
