Abstract
Two cases of malignant melanoma of mucosal origin were presented. The first case was a 72-year-old woman, in whom biopsy from her nasal tumor showed no cell containing melanin, but the dissected specimen demonstrated malignant melanoma. The second case was a 66-year-old woman suffered from left maxillary adenocarcinoma since she was 60-years-old. After the diagnosis was made from the specimen obtained from her left middle nasal meatus, local injection of interferon β was performed. The tumor has not been enlarged during the interferon treatment.
