Abstract

Hydantoin derivatives were obtained by the reactions of terminal alkynes with isocyanates in the presence of a catalytic amount of a manganese complex, MnBr(CO)₅. This reaction also proceeded using a rhenium complex, Re₂(CO)₁₀, or an iron complex, Fe(CO)₅, as a catalyst.
