Abstract
Sensor pegboard test can be defined as a flexible micro motion study technique. This method gives the precise characteristics of a man-machine system. This test method is useful to construct the theory and practice of robots and the physically handicapped. In our society, our labor type is divided into manual and brain activity. However, it is impossible to divide the control activity of arm into the manual and brain activity definitely. In order to control arm, both manual work and brain work are not well divided. Brain work in the wide sense includes cognitive process. Hemiplegic patients were tested. The control group consists of 19 normals (6 subjects in their 20s, 6 subjects in their 40s and 6 subjects in their 60s). Eight tests were conducted: test 1, tapping; test 2, picking; test 3, turning; test 4, moving; test 5, constructing A; test 6, constructing B; test 7, patting; test 8 selecting. The results can be summarized as follows: 1. There are a few influences in the work which a fingertip is used for due to aging. 2. The efficiency of the work concerned with the shoulder declines due to aging. 3. The efficiency of the repetition work of the judgment declines due to aging. In the advanced information-oriented society, outsourcing improves efficiency in manufacturing. But, when identity is top priority, you should make your products by yourself. When a PDA (personal data assistance) tool is used, data sharing must be limited to the general information such as a public television. A serious problem arises when the advanced economic information of a company and so on is written in it carelessly. When you depend on electronic machines, most of the work becomes the entry of the data. If the data disappears, our thinking process stops. It was suggested that micro motion study can consider the problems in man-machine system by dividing them into physical(manual) and mental(brain) activity.
