N2 - Terahertz chemical microscopy (TCM) has been proposed and developed to visualize electric potential and/or chemical changes in water solutions. To simultaneously detect two types of ions mixed in buffer solutions, five membranes for sodium ions and four membranes for potassium ions were integrated on a sensing plate, and the selectivity to each ion was evaluated. The results suggest that TCM can be used for multi-ion sensing in mixed solutions.
