Abstract

We evaluated out-of-band distortion of OFDM signals caused by LNBs for FSS systems, which might be also important for spectrum sharing between the IMT-Advanced system and FSS expected from the result of WRC'07. The evaluation results show that the input power of interfering signals should not exceed -60dBm to make ACLR less than -50dB. The results also show that the AM-AM characteristic is the dominant factor to decide spectral properties, while AM-PM characteristics might be important for accurate estimation of out-of-band distortion by a part of non-linear amplifiers.
