Octanol-water partition coefficients and air-water partition coefficients of 10 principal organochlorine pesticides were obtained as basic data for predicting their fate in environment. The octanol-water partition coefficients were in the wide range from 10 to 106 and approximately correlated with the solubilities in water. The air-water partition coefficients were also in the wide range from 10-7 to 10-2, and the values for chloropicrin, dichlorvos, DCIP and quintozene were relatively high.
