Abstract
The magnetic susceptibility χ and specific heat Cp were measured for the two-dimensional triangular antiferromagnet LiVO2. The phase transition was observed between Tdownt = 450 K and Tupt = 485 K in the χ-result. The χ showed a reproducible thermal hysteresis between Tdownt and Tupt. The entropy change around Tupt was estimated as about 11 J/K mol from the Cp-result. By the cation-exchange chromatography, it was indicated that the chemical formula of the measured sample was Li0.84VO2.
