N2 - Ultraviolet and X-ray photoelectron spectra (UPS and XPS) of thin films prepared by either depositing or applying [Li@C60]+(PF6)- on the substrates are presented. The UPS and XPS of [Li@C60]+(PF6)- applied films suggest that PF6- anions come out from the surface by annealing at 250 °C. The UPS and XPS of the deposited thin films indicate that the film does not contain PF6- anion but is composed of only Li@C60. Changing the sublimation temperature reveals that encapsulated Li cations begin to escape from the C60 cage when heated above 550 °C.
