Abstract
We report novel phase transition at ∼0.9 K in the Ce-based filled-skutterudite compound CeOs4Sb12 via the measurements of nuclear-spin-lattice-relaxation-rate l/T1 and 123Sb-NQR spectrum. The temperature (T) dependence of 1/T1 follows 1/T1 ∝ (T - θ)1/2 with θ = 0.06 K in the range of 1.3 K<T<25K, suggesting that the system is close to an antiferromagnetic critical point. The onset of spin-density-wave (SDW) order at TSDW ∼0.9 K is evidenced by the broadening of NQR spectrum and marked reduction in 1/T1 just below TSDW.
