Abstract

A new quaternary β-carboline alkaloid, seragadine A (1), and three known related alkaloids (2 ∼ 4) have been isolated from an Okinawan Hapiosclerida sponge (SS-1022). The structure of 1 was determined by the spectroscopic data and its synthesis.
