Abstract

Cellular/PCS base and personal station prototypes using software radio techniques are proposed and implemented. The systems are composed of RF/IF, AD and DA, pre/post processor, and CPU and DSP blocks. They can handle various modulation schemes equivalent to the 384-kbit/s air bit rate PHS (Personal Handy-phone System) and other lower air bit rate systems. The base station can also be used as a communication bridge between two services.
