Abstract

This paper is mainly concerned with a newly proposed stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) generation system. This system permanently drives the load with the capacity of about several W, such as the security camera devices, street light and outdoor measurement system, by the electric power by the solar cell. Its fundamentals of operating performances are illustrated and evaluated on the experimental results. Its effectiveness is proved on the basis of the experimental results from a practical point of view. Because of its possibility to drive without the electric power from the commercial power line, this system is especially effective in the out-door use where the commercial electric power line is not supported.
