Abstract
X-ray diffuse scattering study reveals presence of diffuse sheets directed along both the 2a*+c* and 2a*-c* directions in θ-(BEDT-TTF)2CsM′(SCN)4 [M′=Co, Zn] at room temperature. These diffuse streaks condensed into two diffuse rods at the q1=(2/3, k, 1/3) and q2=(0, k, 1/2 ) reduced reciprocal position below 120K. Around 50K when the resistivity begins to increase, an enhancement of the q2 intensity is observed.
