Abstract

We have investigated the spin dynamics of spin-Peierls compound CuGeO3 by pulsed neutron inelastic scattering techniques. The whole spectrum of quantum-spin excitation has been observed. The spectrum shape agrees well with the theoretical results for the one-dimensional (1D) Heisenberg antiferromagnet (HAF), although the interchain couplings of CuGeO3 is sizable.
