Abstract
We measured the temperature dependence of the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time Tx of 139La in metallic compounds (La1-xSrx)2CuO4 with x=0.045, 0.075, 0.10 (high-Tc superconductors) and x=0.15 (nonsuperconductor) by NQR experimentation. T1 for x=0.15 was found to conform to the Korringa relation (T1T= const.) sufficiently, while the T1 for x=0.075 and 0.10 in the normal state showed slightly stronger temperature dependence and were shorter than that for x=0.15, in spite of the increase of hole concentration with increasing x. Fluctuations of Cu d-spins are considered to play an important role for T1 in superconducting compounds. The relaxation behavior in the compound with x=0.045 is also discussed.
