Abstract

The title quasi one-dimensional conductor with a half-filled energy band shows two kinds of modulated structures q1 of (0 0 0.5) below 160 K and q2 of (0.5 0 0.5) below 100 K. These wave vectors can nest Q1D Fermi surface. Two kinds of superlattice structures were solved using X-ray. In both cases, enhanced displacements of I3 ions were observed. Their possible origins and their effects on the physical properties were discussed.
