Abstract

The characterization of charge response in the spin chain and/or ladder compound Sr14-xCaxCu24O41 was presented. The characterization was done by using dc resistivity, low-frequency dielectric spectroscopy and optical spectroscopy. A suppression of the charge-density-wave state was found in the compound by calcium doping.
