Abstract
The pulse pressure change at aortic artery is developed by blood pressure from left ventricular ejection and wave reflection from main artery. The pulse pressure change influences the wave propagation in periphery. One-dimensional numerical model with structure components: unsteady viscosity, non-linear tube deformation, and viscoelasticity of vessel wall were used to verify the pressure waveform alteration. The alteration of diastolic period did not affect the wave propagation of systolic augmentation or systolic duration. However, the alteration of amplitude or period of systolic gave great influence to pressure waveform of peripheral artery. Especially modified pressure waveform of late systolic pressure obviously affected the wave travel of late systolic pressure without any changing of early systolic pressure.
