Abstract

Organized hematoceles are benign hemorrhagic mabes. We report three cases of nasal and paranasal sinus organized hematocele. The predominant occurrence site was the maxillary sinus in two cases, and the sphenoid sinus in one case. Angiography was conducted in two cases arising in the sphenoid sinus and the maxillary sinus, but it did not reveal the feeder artery. In all 3 cases, we were able to perform succebfully curative treatment via endoscopic sinus surgery. For complete surgical resection of organized hematoma of the sphenoid sinus, we should choose the wide sphenoidotomy including the detection of foramen rotundum and pterygoid canal.
