Abstract

From tunneling measurements for the electron-doped cuprate oxide superconductor Nd2-xCexCuO4-y, we obtained the superconducting energy gap of 2=8 meV with Tc=1718 K. This result leads to the value of 2/kTc=5.25.5, which is close to or somewhat larger than that for La2-xSrxCuO4 but slightly smaller than that for Bi2Sr2CuOy.
