Abstract

We reported two cases of ruptured gastrointestinal GIST causing hemoperitoneum. In case 1, CT showed an exophytic gastric large heterogeneous mass with the prominence in a surface part and dense ascites. In case 2, CT demonstrated an exophytic ileal large heterogeneous mass with air, dense ascites and a little free air. Emergency surgery was performed in both cases, and they had a diagnosis of the rupture of exophytic GIST with hemoperitoneum In case 2, fistula with the ileal lumen was also confirmed.
