Abstract

The electronic and crystal structures of organic conductors, viz. α- and β- type compounds, were studied under the systematically controlled uniaxial strain. The variety of electronic properties were explained in terms of the difference in band structure at the Fermi level. But, the selenium analogue of the organic conductor was an exception as it showed superconductivity under the uniaxial strain along any direction.
