Abstract

We proposes methods for using robots in the periodic inspection of road tunnels and associated evaluation methods. The main purpose of using a robot is to reduce working hours spent on the close visual inspection which is currently conducted by humans. For this purpose, the report proposes two methods: a robot conducting measurement after inspection work by humans (Use Case 1), and a robot conducting measurement before inspection work by humans (Use Case 2). To verify the effects of these methods, we conducted “on-site verification” at the actual inspection site and “elemental verification” that uses some specimens.
